KABUUANG 8,307 family food packs ang ipinamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 6 sa mga pamilyang apektado ng El Niño sa lalawigan ng Aklan.
Ito ay mula sa P38.8 M na pondo ng ahensiya para sa mahigit 63K pamilya sa Western Visayas.
Ani DSWD Regional Director Atty. Carmelo N. Nochete, “We are doubling our efforts in providing Family Food Packs to affected families. Our Angels in Red Vest will always do their best to help El Niño affected populace subsist this drought."
Maliban sa Aklan, mayroong 15,934 packs para sa lalawigan ng Antique; 1,000 sa Capiz; 9,416 packs sa Iloilo; at 29, 167 packs para sa Negros Occidental.
